Alice in Wonderland has Mia Wasikowska playing the lead role of Alice. This movie is undoubtedly based on the two novels Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, a sequel to Alice in Wonderland, both of which are written by Lewis Carrol. This masterpiece is directed by Tim Burton and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures in 3-D, IMAX 3-D and regular theaters.
The film shows Alice Kingsley (Mia Wasikowska), now a 19 year old girl who has recently lost her father and also the playful attitude he always had. When she attends a party hosted by the Ascot family, the family that was once her father’s business partner and now owns her father’s trading firm, she realizes that the party is actually her engagement party with Hamish Ascot. Spotting a white rabbit with a waistcoat, Alice chases after the weird creature. In her chase of the rabbit, she slips into a tree hole, only to find herself in under land through the Rabbit Hole.
The first things that she spots in the new world are a bottle of shrinking syrup and a cake that over sizes her! She befriends the rabbit and learns about the new world. The rabbit takes her through the gardens of Wonderland and narrates to her the story of Red Queen, who has now taken control over the underworld from her Sister White Queen. He requests Alice to help the people of Wonderland in slaying Red Queen’s nasty dragon Jabberwocky using the Vorpal Sword. In her stay at Wonderland, Alice meets Chessur, the grinning cat, Tarrant Hightopp, Thackery Earwicket and Mallymkun.
You will be taken along with Alice and her new found friends at Wonderland as the work, play, laugh and together bring back peace to Wonderland.
